TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto gathered participants of the Presidential Future Leaders Program (PFLP) in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Organized by the Ministry of Defense, this year's program aims to train 400 state-owned enterprise (SOE) employees over a nine-month period.Prabowo provided guidance to the PFLP participants in Hambalang, which also houses the President's private residence. "PFLP is designed to support President Prabowo's vision of creating good governance for SOE by strengthening human resources with the best heart and best mind," the Cabinet Secretariat stated.The nine-month PFLP educational curriculum is split into three phases. These include three months of character and discipline building; four months of boosting managerial capacity and decision-making at Danantara Corporate University; and a two-month internship within ministries, institutions, or SOE environments."This step is part of the government's broader strategy to groom a generation of professional, high-integrity, and future-ready leaders for SOE," the Cabinet Secretariat noted.The 400 SOE employees who attended President Prabowo's briefing in Hambalang make up the inaugural batch of PFLP participants. In a photo posted by the Cabinet Secretariat on its Instagram account, @sekretariat.kabinet, the participants were seen seated in an auditorium, dressed in all-black uniforms, with the male participants sporting shaved heads.The Ministry of Defense officially launched the PFLP for State-Owned Enterprise Employees Batch 1 Fiscal Year 2026 at the TNI Kodiklat in Serpong, Banten, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. During the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Defense Donny Ermawan Taufanto explained that the PFLP program is tailored to support President Prabowo's vision of fostering good corporate governance within SOE.Donny stated that the government aims to build a comprehensive national defense system that engages all components of the nation, including the younger generation.
