Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho is hopeful of remaining at Celtic next season after enjoying a remarkable 10-month spell in which he helped the club win the league and Scottish Cup titles, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The 29-year-old rounded off his scoring campaign for the club on Saturday as Celtic beat Dunfermline 3-1 to win the Scottish Cup, seven days after clinching the Scottish Premiership title.
Celtic’s 43rd Scottish Cup triumph capped an impressive end to the season for the Scottish giants. It also marked the club’s 14th league and Scottish Cup double.
Iheanacho was particularly impressive in the final stretch of the season, scoring six goals in Celtic’s last 10 games to inspire their success.
The forward joined Celtic as a free agent from Spanish club Sevilla in September 2025, with the Scottish club holding the option of extending his contract by another year.
