A 31-year-old resident of Choolaimedu was killed after the two-wheeler in which he was travelling skid and fell near Nerkundram on Saturday night. The city police said N. Amit Vikram, who was the son of a retired Army man and police Sub Inspector Charumathi, was working in an IT company. On Saturday night, Vikram was riding pillion on his friend Sriraman, a retired police sub inspector’s vehicle on the Poonamallee High Road. As the vehicle was proceeding near Nerkundram, Sriraman lost control of his two-wheeler that resulted in the fall. Both of them were not wearing helmets and they sustained injuries in the crash. Vikram died on the spot while Sriraman was admitted to a private hospital.
