Multiple fights, including a victim being bottled, kept police busy on Saturday night in Otago.
Police were called to reports of disorder in Milton on Saturday evening, acting Senior Sergeant Iain Notman said.
Police units from Dunedin, about 54km from the South Otago town, were called to back up local police after patrons became aggressive at a 21st party at the Toko Rugby Football Club on Union St.
That included reports of multiple fights, he said.
“The event settled down” when police arrived, Notman said, but officers were “called back several hours later, to further disorder”.
