WASHINGTON, May 24. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Washington will not sign a deal with Iran until Iran agrees to dismantle its nuclear program and remove enriched uranium from its territory, CBS journalist Jennifer Jacobs said, commenting on their phone call.

"Trump and Netanyahu spoke about Iran negotiations. Trump said he's insisting on dismantling the Iranian nuclear program and removing the enriched uranium from its territory, and that he won't sign a final agreement without these conditions," she wrote on her X page. "The prime minister said Israel will maintain freedom of action against all threats, including Lebanon, whether this draft agreement is signed or not."

US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that a draft of the would-be agreement with Iran had been generally agreed. He said that he had held a phone call with the leaders of Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey to discuss a draft memorandum of understanding as part of a peace deal with Iran.

In an interview with Axios earlier, Trump assessed chance for signing a deal with Iran or resuming the military operation against it at 50x50.
