The Dumebi Kachikwu-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has ‘dissolved’ the David Mark-led National Working Committee (NWC), describing it as a caretaker committee.
The decision was taken during the faction’s national convention held in Abuja, further deepening the leadership crisis within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development came despite the Supreme Court judgement which recently upheld the leadership of the David Mark camp.
However, another legal battle over the party’s leadership is still pending before the Federal High Court involving the Mark camp and the Nafiu Bala Gombe-led group.
