Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency says Washington is blocking key elements of a potential agreement, including provisions tied to the release of Tehran’s frozen assets.
The outlet reported that the disagreements leave open “still a possibility” that the deal could be “cancelled”.
The remarks point to ongoing friction in the negotiations, despite public signals of progress from Washington.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump described the talks as “constructive”, but cautioned that both sides “must take their time and get it right”.
