A man working in a Hyderabad hotel was arrested by the Medchal police for attempting to establish links with ISI-backed gang in Pakistan and seeking to procure weapons through members associated with the syndicate.The accused, identified as Jayeed Khan, a native of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, was working at Mubarak Hotel in Medchal at the time of his arrest.According to the police, Khan had shown strong interest in associating with organised criminal networks linked to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and their associates. Investigators said he remained in constant contact with individuals through Instagram despite being aware of the anti-national nature of their activities.During the investigation, the police seized a mobile phone belonging to the accused. Officials said the device contained Instagram reels, WhatsApp chats, voice call records and screenshots that are being examined as part of the probe.The police also recovered two imitation pistols from his possession in the presence of witnesses.Further investigation is underway.
