Emmerdale bosses have got rid of a huge character on the ITV soap amid a 'bloodbath' at the show, which has already seen the axing of two other stars12:25, 24 May 2026Updated 12:26, 24 May 2026Another Emmerdale favourite has reportedly been axed as the 'bloodbath' at the ITV soap continues. Nick Miles, who plays Jimmy King and Olivia Bromley, who stars as Dawn Taylor, have already been given their marching orders, according to reports, and now a member of the Dingle family is following in their footsteps.‌Actor Bradley Johnson, 28, who plays Dales icon, Mandy Dingle's adopted son, Vinny, is set to leave the soap after seven years. An Emmerdale source said: “Bradley is a very popular member of the cast and especially close with his on-screen Dingle family. Everyone is shocked that bosses decided to axe him but it’s all part of the ITV cuts and they still need to trim back the cast."‌‌Referencing the brutal cutbacks at the channel, they added to The Sun: “They are making less episodes so don’t need as many characters.”When contacted by the Mirror, ITV said it would not be making any official comment or confirmation regarding Bradley's departure.Bradley made his debut on Emmerdale in 2019 playing Mandy's adopted son as part of Lisa Riley's big return storyline. The source claimed the seasoned actress is heartbroken to see him go as they shared: "Lisa is devastated. She adores Bradley and they have such a close bond. It just shows that no-one is safe.”‌Bradley has been involved in a number of huge storylines, including the return of his abusive father Paul, his relationship with Liv Flaherty and her untimely death, his short-lived marriage to Gabby Thomas, struggling with his sexuality, and his friendship with Kammy Hadiq.Speaking about being a cast member in 2022, he said: “I’m just loving my time on Emmerdale, as long as the writing is great, as it is, I’m just grateful to be here.”Reports of Vinny's exit come just a week after Nick Miles was said to be leaving the soap after over two decades as Jimmy King.‌Jimmy will reportedly be killed off during a major stunt later this year, with his ex-wife Sadie King (played by Patsy Kensit) returning to the village.Meanwhile, Olivia Bromley, who plays Dawn Fletcher, is also reported to be exiting the show with the character recently issuing fiancé Joe Tate with an ultimatum over his current war with the Dingles.Article continues belowRumours are now rife that Emmerdale bosses are planning a big stunt that could kill off even more cast members.Cost-cutting measures at the channel have seen huge changes to daytime television, along with Coronation Street and Emmerdale both gaining new time slots which means the hour-long slots for soaps have been axed, instead giving each one less than 30 minutes of screentime per day.Like this story?
