Gimba alleged that electoral materials meant for Duma Zago Ward arrived very late, despite party members and supporters waiting from morning to participate in the process.
An aspirant in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) House of Representatives primary for Agaie/Lapai Federal Constituency in Niger State, Khalid Abubakar Gimba, has raised concerns over the conduct of the exercise, alleging irregularities and calling for the cancellation of results in affected wards.
Speaking during a press briefing, Gimba alleged that electoral materials meant for Duma Zago Ward arrived very late, despite party members and supporters waiting from morning to participate in the process.
He described the delay as deliberate and aimed at undermining the credibility of the primaries.
Gimba also alleged that before voting began, representatives of a rival camp approached his team with proposals to allocate votes without holding an actual election.
