U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing aboard Air Force One on the evening of May 13, beginning a three-day state visit to China. The trip marks the first visit to China by a U.S. president since 2017 and Trump’s first visit to the country in his second term. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said leader-level diplomacy plays an irreplaceable role in providing strategic guidance for U.S.-China relations, and that Beijing welcomes President Trump’s visit.
