The Nigerian Railway Corporation has announced a temporary increase in train services on the Lagos-Ibadan Train Service corridor ahead of the Sallah celebration.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the corporation’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Callistus Unyimadu, the NRC said the adjustment, scheduled for May 26, 2026, was aimed at accommodating the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the festive period.
“The temporary adjustment is aimed at accommodating the expected increase in passenger movement as many Nigerians travel to celebrate the festive season with their families and loved ones,” the statement said.
Under the arrangement, the NRC will operate six train trips on the Lagos-Ibadan corridor instead of the usual four on Tuesdays.
