The Nigerian Railway Corporation has announced a temporary increase in train services on the Lagos-Ibadan Train Service corridor ahead of the Sallah celebration.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the Chief Public Relations Officer of the NRC, Callistus Unyimadu, the corporation said the adjustment, scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, 2026, was aimed at accommodating the expected rise in passenger traffic during the festive period.

“The temporary adjustment is aimed at accommodating the expected increase in passenger movement as many Nigerians travel to celebrate the festive season with their families and loved ones,” the statement read.

Under the arrangement, the NRC said it would operate six train trips on the Lagos-Ibadan corridor instead of the usual four on Tuesdays.

According to the corporation, train departures from Lagos will be at 7:45am, 1:40pm, and 4:00pm, while departures from Ibadan will be at 8:00am, 10:50am, and 4:30pm.
