The Edo State Police Command has rescued the remaining six passengers abducted by armed men during an attack on a commercial bus belonging to Young Shall Grow Motors along the Benin-Lagos Road.

The command’s spokesperson, Eno Ikoedem, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, noting that the victims were rescued on three different days following sustained bush-combing operations.

According to the statement, the passengers were abducted on May 9, 2026, at Ogua Community while travelling from Akwa Ibom State to Lagos.

The police said coordinated rescue and bush-combing operations were immediately launched after the incident, leading to the rescue of five passengers, comprising two adults and three children.
