President Bola Tinubu has been declared winner of the All Progressives Congress presidential primary in Rivers State.
Tinubu scored a total of 280,082 votes against his rival, Stanley Osifo, who scored zero.
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, the Returning Officer for the presidential primary, announced the results on Saturday after receiving returns from Collation Officers across the 23 local government areas of the state.
Fubara stated: “From after accreditation we had a total number of 280,082 votes cast. This votes cast is between the two contestants, His Excellency Bola Tinubu and Mr Stanley Osifo. “From my tabulation, the total votes cast are in this order. His Excellency Bola Tinubu scored a total vote of 280,082. The other contestant, Mr Stanley, scored zero.
