When living in Houston, Texas, I came here to watch the Houston Texans (NFL team) play at the huge Azteca Stadium in 2016, fell in love with the city and decided to move here. However, I first went to Quetzaltenango, Guatemala to study Spanish for a few months and ended up staying for two years as I spontaneously opened a hostel called Kasa Kiwi (which is still there). I finally moved to Mexico seven years ago.
I live in la Condesa which is a very central, beautiful and leafy neighbourhood filled with lovely architecture, numerous cafés, bar and restaurants and the best park in the city (Parque México).
Not long at all - I took to it like a shark to water!
