Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has emerged the winner of the All Progressives Congress governorship primary election held in the state ahead of the forthcoming poll.

Kefas polled 166,357 votes to defeat his closest rival Mu’azu Jaji, who polled 4,110 votes.

Speaking shortly after his declaration on Friday, the governor described the exercise as a victory for democracy and called for unity among party members and supporters.

“The contest is now over. The time has come for unity and collective action toward the continued development of our state,” he said.
