Hitachi Elevator (China) Co, an arm of Japanese electronics giant Hitachi Ltd, has signed agreements with a number of property companies and clients in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for the renewal of old elevators in residential buildings.
The signing ceremony was held during the 17th World Elevator and Escalator Expo, which was held in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, from Wednesday to Saturday.
The exhibition, covering an area of 120,000 square meters, attracted over 1,100 domestic and overseas companies to display their latest products and technologies within the elevator industry.
China has introduced urban renewal and equipment update action plans, with replacing old elevators with new ones becoming a key initiative.
