ILOILO CITY — The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO 6) has intensified its crackdown on local ordinance violators across Western Visayas as part of its campaign to maintain peace, order, and public discipline in communities throughout the region.

A consolidated report covering operations from May 1 to 22 showed that police units from provincial and city offices arrested or flagged a total of 9,211 violators regionwide.

Traffic violations topped the list with 4,431 apprehensions, followed by 2,596 individuals caught drinking or smoking in public places. Authorities also recorded 803 curfew violations involving minors and cited 502 individuals for roaming shirtless in public areas.
