The Chief Executive Officer of Oilmoney Records and Karib Oil & Gas, Alafaa Kariboye Igbo, has been nominated for the prestigious Golden Star Award 2026 in recognition of his humanitarian contributions, leadership qualities and sustained commitment to community development.
The organisers of the award, which celebrates individuals making significant social impact through philanthropy and public service, unveiled the list of nominees earlier this week, with Kariboye Igbo earning recognition for his wide-ranging charitable interventions and youth-focused empowerment initiatives.
Over the years, the businessman and entertainment executive has spearheaded several corporate social responsibility programmes through both Oilmoney Records and Karib Oil & Gas. The initiatives include scholarship support for indigent students, healthcare outreach programmes in underserved communities, emergency relief interventions, as well as financial support schemes for small-scale businesses.
Associates and industry stakeholders described him as a visionary entrepreneur whose leadership style blends commercial success with compassion and social responsibility.
Reacting to the nomination, Kariboye Igbo’s PRO Prince Fredoo Perry expressed appreciation for the recognition, noting that the achievement reflected the collective efforts of his team and the communities they serve.
