Metlen Energy & Metals owner Evangelos Mytilineos informed shareholders on Thursday that the Athens- and London-listed group is discussing the expansion of its cooperation with French state energy giant EDF.
He said he recently met with the head of the French group about a joint development of thousands of megawatts of photovoltaics and storage, as well as data centers.
It is possible the joint venture will concern nuclear energy, too, in the future. EDF output is about 98% in nuclear energy and the French company discerns opportunities for storage in the European market, and especially in Greece, which is lagging.
