May 22 (UPI) -- Authorities in Texas wrangled a llama on the loose just one day after an escaped kangaroo was captured in the same city.

The Elmendorf Police Department said on Facebook that an officer was driving on FM 327 about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday "when he came across a llama in the roadway."

The officer temporarily shut down the road while he and city field staff worked to wrangle the llama.

The llama, named "Captain," was safely reunited with its owner. The road was shut down for about an hour.
