Jannik Sinner, the No. 1 men’s tennis player in the world, is heading into the 2026 French Open on a 29-match win streak, and sportsbooks don’t think it’s going to be broken any time soon.

DraftKings gives Sinner -275 odds to win at Roland Garros this year, meaning bettors would have to wager $100 to win just $36. They are the second-strongest odds on record for any man to win a major tournament, according to historical odds from Covers.com, implying a roughly 70% chance of the 24-year-old Italian hoisting the trophy. It isn’t rare for a men’s tennis player to be favored over the entire rest of the field to win a major—that has actually happened in 37 of the 84 majors since 2005, thanks to the dominance of the Big Three. Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal were each favored over their respective fields in 12 different Grand Slam draws, and Roger Federer in 11.

But only Nadal was ever deemed more likely to win a major prior to the start of the tournament than Sinner at this year’s French Open. Nadal won 14 times in Paris, the record for any player at a single major. He had -200 odds or better four different years: 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2018. Ironically, the year of his best odds—2009, when he was a whopping -400—he was upset in the fourth round by eventual finalist Robin Söderling.
