Staffordshire Police confirmed the two fighting dogs were sedated and taken to a secure police kennel, while two more dogs were also taken from inside the property.An investigation into the incident is now underway. The force says it received a 999 call to Milton Grove at 6.35pm yesterday (May 21), reports Stoke on Trent Live."Officers were told that two dogs, described as XL Bullies, were fighting each other on the front garden of a home," a spokesperson said."It was then reported that the two dogs bit a man who was with them at the time. As a result, armed officers were sent to the scene.Article continues below"Both dogs, who were contained inside the house when we arrived, were safely sedated and taken to a secure police kennel for assessment."The man who was bitten by the dogs was spoken to at the scene. His injuries were not serious and he declined medical treatment."Two other dogs from inside the house were also taken to a police kennel.
