Mehdi Rajabian, who was prosecuted and arrested in 2013 on charges including “insulting sanctities,” “propaganda against the regime,” and “unauthorized artistic activity,” has featured the Mercedes-Benz electric EQE in his latest music video in support of Earth and clean air on International Earth Day.
Rajabian currently works as a composer for Mercedes-Benz and has previously composed music for the company, dedicating one of his works to “Rozita Rokh-zadeh,” a protester killed during the January demonstrations.
He had earlier won the prestigious international “Telly Award” at its 46th annual global event in 2025 for composing music for Mercedes-Benz’s official teasers.
Rajabian received the silver medal in the specialized category of “Creative Use of Music in a Promotional Teaser,” becoming the first Iranian artist to win the honor.
