The Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment has graduated 500 young people from its Technical, Vocational and Educational Training programme as part of efforts to tackle unemployment and expand economic opportunities for youths across the state.

The graduation ceremony, themed “Empowering the Youths: From Knowledge to Income,” marked the completion of a six-week vocational and entrepreneurship training initiative focused on practical skills acquisition and self-employment.

Participants received training in five areas: computer and phone repairs, photography and videography, graphic design, cosmetology, and mixology, under a programme designed to promote financial independence and reduce youth unemployment.

Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, said the initiative reflected the government’s broader strategy of equipping young people with skills that could generate sustainable income in a changing economy.
