President Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians to support the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), in its efforts to rid Nigeria of drug trafficking.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, in a statement on Thursday, said the President commended the Agency and the staff for the remarkable achievement in busting a Nigerian-Mexican drug syndicate and dismantling a highly sophisticated multi-million-dollar illegal drug production network in the country.
Buba Marwa, the Chairman/ CEO of the NDLEA, had on Wednesday announced the major drug bust following a massive operation spanning weeks of intelligence gathering and meticulous planning by NDLEA operatives in collaboration with international partners.
Onanuga said the President, who was elated by the success recorded in the operation, charged Nigerians to always volunteer information to the anti- narcotics agency that would assist in stopping the drug carnageadsads
