The Chief Executive Officer of Layer3, Oyaje Idoko, has said Africa’s next phase of digital growth will depend on stronger partnerships between global technology providers, local infrastructure firms, enterprises, and government institutions.
According to the company, no single player can independently deliver the depth of infrastructure required to support modern enterprise systems across African markets.
Idoko noted that while global technology firms typically provide advanced tools, platforms and research-driven innovation, local infrastructure providers are often better positioned to handle regulatory requirements, operational realities, and on-the-ground execution.
In a statement on Thursday, Idoko said while Africa’s digital economy was expanding quickly, the real constraint is no longer adoption of technology, but the strength of the infrastructure required to sustain it at scale.
He said the combination of both was becoming essential for enterprises that require stable, secure, and scalable systems.
