Ambassador AbdulFatai Yahaya Seriki, one of the aspirants seeking the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, has declared that nobody would take the party’s gubernatorial ticket away from him, insisting that the project remains a youth-driven movement that must not be derailed by external forces.
Seriki made the declaration on Thursday shortly before the postponement of the APC governorship primary in the state, while addressing supporters and party loyalists amid growing political tension over the race to succeed Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The APC chieftain, who enjoys strong support of Governor AbdulRazaq, said Kwarans must resist attempts by outsiders to divide the state politically, stressing that unity remained critical to the future of Kwara.
