THE GWM P300 combines comfort, performance and impressive safety features.
While there’s a constant stream of bakkies being launched from various new Chinese manufacturers trying to get their foot into the door, GWM has been here for a couple of decades and in the process managed to convince South African buyers to make them a real alternative.
Launched in 2020, the P-Series has been making its mark and last month placed fourth behind the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger and Isuzu D-Max.
That’s no mean feat in the bakkie market and after driving the GWM P500 and more recently the P300, I can understand why.
The previous generation was dominated by a large chrome grille (and lots of other chrome bits), which has been changed to a less in-your-face grey, with the logo still very much dominating the front.
