LifestyleDogsLittle Youmi is searching for a loving home in the UK after enduring more heartbreak and pain than any dog should ever experience - and now rescuers are hoping someone will finally open both their home and heart to her13:39, 21 May 2026Updated 13:39, 21 May 2026Nobody seems to want poor Youmi - and rescuers fear her heartbreaking start to life is stopping people from giving her the loving home she deserves. The two-and-a-half-year-old mixed breed has already endured more pain than most dogs experience in a lifetime after being hit by a truck as a tiny puppy while living on the streets of Egypt.‌The horrific accident left her with devastating injuries to one of her legs, which sadly could not be saved. Rescuers were left with no choice but to amputate it. But despite everything she has been through, Youmi never gave up.‌After recovering from surgery, the brave dog adapted incredibly well to life on three legs and has since become known for her happy personality and love of people. Rescuers describe her as “full of life” and say she gets along well with other dogs too.‌However, her future is now uncertain as she desperately searches for a forever home in the UK. Currently, Youmi is still living in Egypt with the woman who rescued her from the streets. But tragically, she isn’t even living inside a proper home. Instead, she is being kept in her rescuer’s garage because there is nowhere else safe for her to stay.‌Adding to the urgency, neighbours in the area reportedly dislike street dogs, and her rescuer is soon due to leave the country. As well as being a tripod dog, Youmi is also deaf - something rescuers fear may be putting potential adopters off even more. But they insist she is just as capable of giving love as any other dog.She has already been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, meaning she is fully prepared to travel to the UK once an adopter comes forward. Rescuers say she would suit a loving and patient home willing to welcome a dog with additional needs.‌While she has not yet been tested with cats, she is said to be friendly with both humans and other dogs. Now, those caring for Youmi are pleading for someone to finally look past her disabilities and see the affectionate dog underneath.Commenting on her story online, many people admitted they were heartbroken by her situation.Article continues belowOne person wrote: “Oh beautiful girl.
