MANILA, Philippines — Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast Electric Vehicle Philippines Corp. is exploring the possibility of setting up a manufacturing facility in Bataan as demand for electrified vehicles in the Philippines continues to grow.
In a statement on Thursday, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) said it had brought VinFast, alongside its charging infrastructure arm V-Green Global Charging Station Development Corp., to the 200-hectare Morong Discovery Park.
This visit was meant to “explore opportunities for the potential establishment of an EV manufacturing facility” within the property and pitch the Bataan site as a “strategic location for green and future-ready industries.”
