A baby was saved from a house fire after a trapped mother threw the infant into the arms of a police officer.Bodycam footage shared by Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety on Tuesday (19 May) shows an officer running towards the burning house in Michigan, where a mother and her infant were trapped.He then instructed the mother to “kick down the screen” and throw him her baby from the second-floor window. Hands out stretched, the officer reassured the woman that he “got it” before successfully catching the child.A ladder was then deployed moments later which allowed the mother to safely climb down.Both the mother and child were transported to a hospital for precautionary tests. Neither sustained injuries.
