TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - One by one, victims of sexual abuse at the Ndholo Kusumo Islamic Boarding School in Pati, Central Java, have begun to come forward. One of them filed a report with the Pati City Police on Thursday, May 14, 2026.The victim was accompanied by lawyers from the Pati Santri Alliance for Democracy (Aspirasi). Burhanuddin, one of the attorneys, said his client experienced sexual abuse at the boarding school between 2013 and 2014.The victim finally found the courage to report the abuse after enduring psychological pressure for years. She approached Aspirasi, which has operated a complaint post since early May 2026. “There are other victims who will also testify in this case,” Burhanuddin said at the Pati Police headquarters.Reports of sexual abuse at the Ndholo Kusumo Islamic Boarding School surfaced widely on social media in late April 2026. At the time, another victim’s attorney, Ali Yusron, revealed the slow handling of his client’s complaint since July 2024. “The victim is now an adult.
