Members of the All Progressives Congress across the ten wards of Odeda Local Government Area in Ogun State on Wednesday elected Oludaisi Elemide as the party’s consensus candidate for the Odeda State Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general election.

The primary election, conducted in line with the party’s guidelines and timetable, was held simultaneously across the ten wards of Odeda Local Government, including Odeda, Olodo, Alabata, Opeji, Obete, Osiele, Obantoko, Alagbagba, Itesi, and Ilugun.

Party members reportedly turned out in large numbers to participate in the exercise, which was described as peaceful, transparent, and orderly across the local government area.

As the APC consensus candidate, Elemide received overwhelming endorsement from party faithful, who expressed confidence in his leadership style, legislative experience, and commitment to the constituency’s development.

According to a statement by his media aide, Kunle Idowu, he said, “Officials assigned to supervise the exercise monitored proceedings across the wards, while representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission observed the process.
