Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, French President Emmanuel Macron and African Ministers inaugurated the new headquarters of Senghor University in Alexandria, which is dedicated to supporting African development.
Established in 1990, Université Senghor is a French-language international institution named after former Senegalese President Léopold Sédar Senghor It offers postgraduate programmes in environment, administration, culture, and health.
Leading Francophone Institution
President El-Sisi told the audience that Senghor University has over more than three decades, established itself as a leading academic institution preparing young African talent under modern educational systems. This had enabled them to address development challenges and turn them into opportunities for sustainable growth.
