OTTAWA — Prime Minister Mark Carney is urging British Columbia to get on board with his pro-development agenda, and suggested Wednesday that the federal government will focus on building elsewhere if “things get stalled” in the province.
The comments came as the prime minister visited Vancouver on a charm offensive following his oil pipeline deal with Alberta, which sparked indignation from B.C.‘s New Democratic government, with Premier David Eby demanding a “fair share” of Ottawa’s spending and “enthusiasm” for future development.
