The new Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Kim Robert de Leon is an avid stamp collector and Guinness World Record Holder, the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) revealed in a congatulatory statement."Secretary De Leon gained international recognition in 2024 after earning a Guinness World Record for the largest collection of Pope stamps, a remarkable achievement that reflects dedication, discipline, patience, and an eye for detail," PHLPost said."His journey into stamp collecting reportedly deepened during the pandemic, beginning with a Pope Francis First Day Cover issued by PHLPost following the historic Papal Visit to the Philippines in 2015," the agency added.De Leon serves as an inspiration to the younger generation to rediscover the hobby of stamp collecting.“Secretary De Leon’s journey shows young Filipinos that stamp collecting is more than a hobby — it is a gateway to learning history, culture, faith, and nationhood,” said Maximo C.
