Labour, Employment and Mines Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy said that Telangana government is stepping up efforts to prepare youth for growing employment opportunities in Europe.Addressing a State-level workshop on India-European Union mobility on Wednesday, the Minister said Europe faces a rising demand for skilled workers while India has a large pool of talented and trainable youth. He said the State government had initiated focused measures to equip young people for global careers, with the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM) playing a key role in guiding and training candidates for overseas employment.The Minister said awareness is being created among youth about the risks of illegal or unverified migration channels while encouraging them to opt for safe, legal and structured pathways for employment abroad.Highlighting rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, he said traditional job roles are undergoing significant changes, making skill upgradation and adaptability essential. “Youth trained in line with future industry needs would be better placed to access international opportunities,” he added.Referring to his recent visit to Germany, Mr. Venkatswamy said there is considerable demand for skilled manpower in sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, technology and services. He added that pilot projects for language training are being implemented across Telangana to support safe and professionally guided overseas employment.Ministry of External Affairs Under Secretary Adarsh Kumar Mehra, LETF Secretary D.
