The Telangana Government, in association with Microsoft, will establish a Green Skills & Applied AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) to equip youth with AI-ready skills for sustainable manufacturing. It will help create a talent pipeline for the rapidly evolving green economy and AI-driven industrial ecosystem.With a focus on Green Pharma, the CoE is being set up in association with Microsoft, 1M1B Foundation (One Million for One Billion), and MeitY (Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) Startup Hub.The centre will begin its operations from next month, a government spokesperson said.“Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming the operating system for sustainable industries. In life sciences and pharmaceutical manufacturing, AI has the potential to improve productivity, optimise energy use, accelerate research, and enable more sustainable operations,” Rajiv Kumar, Managing Director and President, Microsoft India Development Centre, said here in a statement on Thursday.New generation of innovators“By combining Applied AI with Green Skills, we are preparing a new generation of innovators who can create solutions for both economic growth and climate resilience,” he said.The vision and implementation roadmap for the Centre were presented during a meeting with Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu here.“We have built one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical and vaccine ecosystems.
