The Kerala High Court has directed the probe team to conclude within a month the investigation in the microfinance fraud case registered against Vellappally Natesan, general secretary of the SNDP Yogam, and others.The court was considering a plea by Mararikulam resident M.S. Anil seeking to speed up the probe in the case. The probe team had submitted before the court in September 2025 that the investigation in the case was in its final stage and could be completed within three months.The VACB had indicted five persons, including Mr. Natesan, for conspiracy and financial fraud based on a complaint filed by the late Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan in 2016 and booked them under the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Indian Penal Code.The matter was posted for hearing on June 20. Published - May 20, 2026 08:33 pm IST
