It is understood the eight-year-old girl passed away after falling from her wheelchair during a race, the Daily Record reports.‌She was taken to hospital and later discharged but was then re-admitted after taking unwell. The schoolgirl passed away in hospital. Police Scotland say emergency services attended the scene and that officers are currently treating the pupil's death as unexplained with inquiries ongoing.‌Meanwhile, South Lanarkshire Council confirmed the girl's peers are being supported.A spokesman for South Lanarkshire Council said last night: “We are aware of the tragic passing of one of our pupils.
