Larsen & Toubro's sovereign AI cloud unit, Vyoma, on Wednesday announced a partnership with Open Dhi Group to host the start-up's enterprise and retail technology platforms on India-based cloud infrastructure.Under the agreement, Open Dhi will deploy three platforms on Vyoma Cloud: DhiERP+, an AI-enabled open-source enterprise resource planning system; DhiADT+, a workforce governance and global payroll platform; and Bhaiyaa, a hyperlocal omni-channel marketplace platform. The deployment will follow Open Dhi's proprietary 'Double Sandwich Technology' architecture, which integrates a marketplace layer, AI-led enterprise systems and sovereign cloud infrastructure. The partnership is aimed at offering enterprises a unified digital stack with guaranteed data residency within India — a growing requirement as regulatory and security concerns around cross-border data flows intensify.Seema Ambastha, Chief Executive of Larsen & Toubro Vyoma, said sovereign and resilient cloud infrastructure would be critical as India moves towards an AI-driven economy, and that the tie-up would allow enterprises to scale on trusted domestic platforms.Shrinivas Racha, Founder of Open Dhi Group, said the arrangement ensures the company's platforms run on secure, scalable sovereign infrastructure, while allowing enterprise clients to retain control of their digital ecosystems.Vyoma, which is positioned as L&T's hyperscale data centre and AI cloud business, serves sectors including government, banking and financial services, healthcare and manufacturing. Open Dhi's platforms are designed for India's enterprise and retail market. The deal reflects a broader industry trend of enterprises seeking India-domiciled cloud alternatives amid rising demand for data sovereignty, cost optimisation and AI-readiness in enterprise infrastructure.Published on May 20, 2026
