NewsisKorea will push for the expansion of onion exports, mainly to the Southeast Asian market, amid domestic oversupply of the vegetable, the agriculture ministry said Wednesday.The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced the plan as domestic supplies of onion are expected to increase by up to 5 percent from a year earlier in 2026 and up to 8.8 percent compared with the annual average.Under the plan, the ministry aims to export more than 2,000 tons of Korean onions mainly to Taiwan and the Southeast Asian market this year.
