TikTok has scaled back the use of an AI tool that had summarised some video content in a bizarre way.

The tool was intended to describe the contents of videos to provide more context, and to identify items appearing in them.

While it reportedly worked well in some cases, in others it created descriptions that appeared to be both fanciful and completely unrelated to the video in question.
