Vice-President Kashim Shettima said yesterday some people attempted to create bad blood between him and President Bola Tinubu three months after their inauguration, warning his principal to stop wearing traditional attire he gave him during the 2023 campaign.
Speaking in Abuja at the public presentation of the autobiography of former military head of state Yakubu Gowon, in Abuja yesterday, Shettima said those behind the plot claim that the garments were laced charms to kill the president.
“When we were campaigning for him to emerge as the candidate of the APC, we were going round the north. So, I got some materials and caps for him to blend with the northern crowd. It fitted him very well. So his aides said, ‘produce more, it fitted him,” Shettima said.
