Space data center company Lonestar has signed agreements with NASA and Rooverse for space-based data storage.
With the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Ames Research Center, Lonestar has signed the Space Act Agreement for the establishment of a framework for collaboration focused on advancing technologies and operational concepts supporting lunar data storage, resilient off-world compute infrastructure, and next-generation space communications architectures.
Meanwhile, with Rooverse, the companies will work on securing and protecting human-generated social data in space.

Lonestar and NASA will first focus on technical collaboration and the evaluation of space-based data infrastructure concepts, which will support future space missions.
