The Kerala High Court has directed the persons accused in lynching Madhu, a mentally challenged tribal youth from Attappadi in 2018, to appear before it on May 25.The court is expected to pronounce its verdict in the case on the day. Madhu had been attacked by a mob, which alleged that he stole rice from a grocery shop in Attappadi.The High Court heard the case after the accused persons approached the court, challenging the judgment of the trial court that had convicted 14 of the 16 accused persons, for the youth’s death.
