May 19 (UPI) -- Geena Davis, Jena Malone, Bill Pullman, Alfre Woodard, Alfred Molina and Mary McDonnell attended the premiere of their new Netflix series, The Boroughs, in Los Angeles Monday.

"In a seemingly perfect retirement community, a crew of unlikely heroes must stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don't have: time," the streaming service said in a synopsis for the eight-episode drama.

Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews are the show-runners and creators of the series, which premieres Thursday.

The Duffer Brothers -- who are best known for creating Stranger Things -- are executive producers on the new show.
