Reports coming out of Iran indicate that air defense systems were activated in Isfahan and on Qeshm Island, with residents reporting sounds of anti-aircraft fire in both areas.
Confirming the incident in Isfahan, the Mehr News Agency said that “officials have not yet provided any explanation regarding why the Isfahan air defense was activated.”
At the same time, reports also emerged about air defense activity over Qeshm Island. Addressing the incident, the Tasnim News Agency stated that the systems were deployed to counter “micro-air vehicles” (drones).
Since the ceasefire between the United States and Israel on one side and the Islamic Republic on the other came into effect, similar reports of air defense activity have repeatedly surfaced from different cities and regions across Iran. In some cases, officials have attributed the incidents to encounters with “unidentified targets,” “micro-air vehicles,” or “suspicious aircraft,” while in several other instances, no official explanation has been provided.
